You Played Where!? Charity Art Auction

Six original paintings from the road. Every dollar to TIACS.

In September 2026 we took the You Played Where!? tour to six towns across regional Queensland: Mitchell, Roma, Jondaryan, Coolmunda, St George and Warwick. We played in a spa hall, a saleyard, a woolshed, beside a lake, in an amphitheatre and on a railway platform.

Two artists came along for the ride. Micah Roy set up his easel and painted the country around the venue in acrylic. Hannah Mrowka painted the shows themselves in watercolour: the stages, the line dancers, and the cattle watching from the rails. Between them they made six original works, and each one is a record of a place and a night that won't happen the same way again.

We're auctioning all six, and 100% of every winning bid goes to TIACS.

About TIACS

TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter) is a free phone and text counselling service for tradies, truckies, farmers and blue collar workers, and the people who care about them. You talk to a professional counsellor, and you get the same counsellor each time. It costs nothing and it's confidential.

We chose TIACS because these are the people who filled the halls and paddocks on this tour. Help can be a long drive away out there, and a service you can text from the ute or the tractor makes it easier to reach.

Where the money goes

The full amount of each winning bid is passed on to TIACS. Nothing is held back for fees, framing or admin. Laura Frank covers those costs.

How it works

  • Bidding is open now and closes 25.10.26 at 8pm AEST
  • Choose a painting below to see its story and place a bid
  • Set a maximum bid and the system will bid for you up to that amount
  • A bid in the last five minutes extends the clock, so no one gets pipped at the post
  • Payment in full and postage will occur once the winning bidder has been determined
  • All paintings will be framed in a simple wooden frame

If you need a yarn yourself, call or text TIACS on 0488 846 988, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 10 pm AEST. In a crisis, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
